Common questions
Full FAQHow do I sync my Shopify products?
Go to Settings → Shopify Sync and click 'Start Import'. GoStock will pull your products, locations, and inventory levels automatically.
Why is my inventory out of sync?
GoStock reconciles with Shopify every hour. You can trigger a manual sync from Settings → Shopify Sync → 'Reconcile Now'.
How do I set reorder points?
Open a product, go to the Replenishment tab, and set a min and max quantity per location. GoStock will alert you when stock falls below the minimum.
Can I receive a partial shipment?
Yes. When receiving a PO, enter the quantities you actually received. The PO will move to 'Partially Received' and you can receive the remainder later.

v1.6.0
August 5, 2026
What changed for merchants
- Stocky migration is more resilient: retries, re-imports, duplicate SKUs, deleted variants, and historical records are handled more safely.
- Purchase orders and receiving are stronger across file imports, returns, taxes, barcode scanning, supplier emails, and variant selection.
- Inventory, stocktakes, transfers, and reports include more accurate history, safer adjustments, better exports, and sturdier Shopify handoff.
- QuickBooks Desktop setup, billing access, annual-plan switching, and onboarding checks are clearer and better guarded.
- Shopify sync, webhook replacement, token refresh, worker health, and GDPR cleanup paths are more reliable.
- The release gate now has broader E2E coverage, schema-drift checks, and safeguards against tests that look green without proving the workflow.
Previous releases
- Capture invoice number, invoice date, payment terms, and shipping cost per shipment when receiving a PO — not just once for the whole order.
- Choose how landed costs are split across a PO's lines — by value, by quantity, or by weight.
- Stocktakes now support manual adjustments mid-count, variance grouped by category, a root-cause note, and a full summary audit before you close a count.
- Backorders now live in their own Inventory tab — every ordered-not-yet-received unit, browsable by PO or by SKU.
- The AI assistant remembers your conversation and suggests better follow-up prompts — and a plain-language "create a PO" request now starts a guided workflow.
- New Average Unit Cost and Vendor Performance reports, plus size/color variant filters on Inventory Turnover.
- Stocky migration is faster and far more reliable — it imports in batches, resumes where it left off, and you can re-run it anytime from Settings without re-entering your API key.
- Build a purchase order from a file — import lines from Excel or CSV, or receive an entire PO from a supplier's spreadsheet.
- A new Inventory Turnover report shows how quickly stock sells through, so you can spot slow and fast movers.
- Duplicate SKUs are now supported — products are identified by their Shopify variant, so imports no longer stall on repeated SKUs.
- Clearer, actionable error and warning messages across the app, with instant toast feedback when something needs your attention.
- Real label printing — accurate ZPL and DYMO rendering, batch label jobs, and system-printer support.
- Sell kits and bundles — availability derives from components, so a bundle can't oversell its scarcest part.
- Merge one location into another — inventory, history and rules fold into the target.
- Backfill a purchase order from a supplier invoice: upload it, GoStock drafts the lines.
- Monthly subscribers can switch to the annual plan (save 10%) from Settings → Billing.
- Receiving now reliably pushes your updated stock back to Shopify again.
- Learn GoStock inside GoStock — self-serve guided tours for the whole app, every feature, and common tasks.
- Sell by the litre or kilo: fractional stock quantities across inventory, POs, transfers, and stocktakes.
- POS stock adjustments made offline are saved and replayed safely when you're back online.
- Purchase order drafts auto-save as you type — crashes and closed tabs no longer lose your work.
- A dedicated backorders view: every ordered-not-received unit, by PO or by SKU.
- New annual plan — subscribe yearly and save 10%.
- Manage inventory right from the Shopify POS — create purchase orders by scanning, and count, adjust, or receive stock on the device with the new Quick Actions tile.
- While receiving, see the previous cost, the new cost, and the retail price side by side — and open a product’s full cost history without leaving the page.
- Receive stock by the case when a pack size is set, and enter the per-case price from your supplier invoice so totals reconcile to the cent.
- A new “Expiring soon” report lists perishable stock oldest-expiry-first; turn lot and expiry tracking on in Settings.
- Dozens of reliability fixes across purchase orders, transfers, receiving, reports, and QuickBooks.
- Clone a purchase order — including splitting backordered items onto a new PO — for fast reorders and partial shipments.
- Open a product's movement history (sales, receipts, transfers) directly from a purchase order line, with CSV export.
- Case pack and minimum order quantity are remembered per supplier, and order quantities round up to full cases.
- Track expiration dates and lot numbers when receiving stock.
- Purchase order numbering is now per store and continues from your Stocky history.
- A Stocky-parity reporting pack (SKU/variant, low stock, PO items, profit, and more) is available in Analytics.
- Purchase orders are more reliable across receiving, payments, exports, CSV handling, and Shopify handoff flows.
- Supplier and vendor workflows are stronger, including vendor profiles, product links, catalog assignment, file handling, and validation.
- Stocktakes now cover more real store workflows, including variances, approvals, cycle counts, and Shopify sync behavior.
- Labels and printer setup are improved across template setup, preview, print jobs, and bulk quantities.
- Settings now give better visibility into Shopify sync activity, queue status, and operational sync controls.
- Reports, orders, and Stocky-parity workflows include many smaller fixes and polish improvements.
- Automated coverage was expanded across backend services, admin UI, and end-to-end workflows.
